    THinking about repainting...

The silver Bullet. I am thinking of doing the car in 70 Chevy Fathom Blue or 2005 Ford Vista Blue.

    Fathom

    Vista

Just wondering what the best place to get it done is. We have Spray-Glo and Macco in the local area...

What is the car? If it is anything that you want to look good, Maaco and whatever the hell that other place is, are out. Unless: you prep the car and supply the paint, and all they have to do is mask and shoot. There paint (Maaco) isn't that great; they want to move cars in and out because they are so cheap. Haste makes waste, and thats all there is to know about that. If you must know, my first car was painted their, and we paid 450 for it. It looks okay, but the paint is dying now (4 yrs).

Try and check out some of the work that local bodyshops do. If you find one that you think does nice work, go in and inquire. Keep in mind that good paint products are expensive. The paint for my car was 400/ gal. The hardener was 225/ gal. Then you have masking product, lots of time, primer, (plastic; if necessary), etc. Its not cheap to paint a car, es[pecially if you do it right. Changing the color means the jambs should be done, etc. If you want it to look nice, take it to a shop that you know does good work. If you just want it a different color, take it to Maaco.

    BTW, I like those blues.

I like the 70's Chevy blue. You have a box, right? Because if not I'd go with the Ford blue.

This is for my 2005 Mucho Crapo. I also decided to add Chevy style Cortez Silver stripes. The 'Velle at the top has em in black.
