    1990 model. Some ????'s

OK, I am not sure how to match the pics with the questions, so here goes. in one pic you'll see on the drivers door, below the trim, some dents where dad hit it with his four wheeler, think one of those paintless dent places can get these out?

In another you can see where the drivers seat looks like it sits at an angle, (look at the gap in the middle), wide at the back, narrow at the front. Is this normal? electric seat some of the adjustments just click and thump, won't move the seat.

In the other pic, you see the rear door, sits inboard of the body almost a half inch, and rubs the back edge of the front door when opened, how easy is this to fix?

Could be something snapped in the seat track, making it sit sideways. Id pull off both seats (four 10mm bolts to free them from the tracks) compare the two and check for problems.

The back door might need a striker if the plastic bushing has worn off, of could be mis-aligned. I hate trying to line up doors... never got the 91's driver door exactly right...

Paint places can do amazing things, but for dents that small, Id save your money little dents and dings are part of life

adjusting the striker outward will take care of it being shut too far. if the front door is in like that too much, the back door will catch catch the front and mess up the front door. had to adjust the front doors on my Grand Marquis since the were in too far and back doors would snag them.

Paintless dent places can repair just about any dent where the paint hasn't been ruined. The good places are seriously amazing... they have their own schools they send employees to, and you have to sign a contract saying you'll never reveal the techniques to anyone outside of the company.

Pete, come up here to CT and I'll teach ya how to align body panels. My friend and I are the best in our class... can remove, replace, and align a minivan's sliding door and hatch in under 20 minutes, and that's after the teacher's thoroughly f'd up the alignments.

I've seen that rear door misalignment on like 20 of these cars, inlcuding both of mine. My current car I fixed by re-aligning the door. Start with the striker.

Heres 1 way of re-adjusting the door:

1-Have a friend help you unbolt the door and hold it up.

2-Use paint sticks to make shims for the door, usually 1 does it, as they are thin you can stack them.

3-After attaining the height you want, drill a small hole into the hinge and insert a bolt to hold the position.

4-You may have to drill out the existing holes to mate the door back together, but the bolt should do, install more as you see fit.

5-Also, get a new door striker, bushing and you may have to install some new weather stripping due to the door rubbing the old.

hope this helps ya mang...Good luck-

Looks like the seat track jammed or broke. I've seen the transmissions grenade on them before, usually from something being stuck under the seat and jamming it. Sometimes they just bust. Worst case, you'll need a new power track from a junkyard donor car.

heh, yeah i bet that was the sound of plastic gears in the seat transmission telling you to F off for the last time. The tracks are pretty easy to swap. 4 bolts hold it to the floor of the car, once you get the seat out, you'll find 4 more smaller bolts holding the track to the seat. You'll also probably need to remove the seat belt buckle because it goes through the seat. T50 socket to remove it. Those can be a bit of a bastard, but usually not so bad as the ones on the rear seat.

sounds ghetto but i bet you could massage those dents out with a broomstick handle and make it way less noticeable.

That's because isn't sensical, nor is it safe by a long shot. Drilling additional holes severely compromises the structural integrity of the hinge. Also, I'm not sure where you're talking about using shims, but using wooden shims in the door hinge is just asking for trouble... what happens when the wooden shims fall apart and fall out and you have a door that's hanging by a loose bolt, but you don't notice it?
