Kewl. Did you install it yourself? If so, do you remember what brand/model you used?

Just a warning, I used to have that Hidden window mount antenna from crutchfield installed, before I switched to the PA I have now, and I couldn't get it to pick up even one station worth a damn.

We have a really good Classic Rock station here, 99.7 "The Fox" which puts out a good 250,000W signal, and while driving the hidden antenna couldn't even hold the reception for 5 seconds at a time without breaking up. Very Annoying......

I really wanted my reception back, as I listen to the radio a lot while I'm driving, so I had no other choice but to install a Power Antenna. Now I have great reception.

Not from the factory they didn't, least not on anything I've ever seen.

The GM cars with the antenna in the glass never got great reception. Basic whip antennas seem to work better. I've also always been fond of rear antennas, it just looks more out of the way back there.

Some of the pre-87 P72's I have seen had the antenna on the PS Rear QP from the factory. I could tell it was a factory job, because the hole for the Antenna had been stamped/pressed into the QP, and not drilled. I also think that antenna's in general just look better on the Rear QP.

It was the same Window Mount unit crutchfield carries, I bought it a little over a year ago, not sure if they have updated the design or not since then. Wouldn't hold reception while driving worth a crap for me, could just be this area though.

I had an '84 Vic with the factory rear antenna. I've seen many of them.

Right rear quarter panel. It was a power antenna if it made any difference.

Here's one on a 87, on the PS Rear QP, never seen them on the DS Rear QP from the factory before.

Funny how it seems like the rooflines were a little different for a few years there in the middle of the model run.
