A re-chrome around here usually runs around $300-500 for a Bumper the Size of ours.I can't justify spending that much, until I find a 80-81 slotted bumper.
Do you or anybody else here have a pic of the 80-81 slotted bumpers?
here is a pic of a slotted bumper i got outta the junkyard. the grille was already missing though or it would have been mine as well.
Nice, but it still has that f'ugly rubber strip going around the bumper. If Ford had only made that w/o the rubber strip like the 79 version:cuss:. Next trip to the JY I am going to get 79 bumpers, a hood to cut up for a hoodscoop, and a trunk lid to work on since the lip on my ma's CV is rotted under the molding.
Ive got stock bumpers.. My dream however is to have bumpers with skulls formed with it. And maybe in the middle of the bumper one rather big Skull. with LED's inside of them. :P.
I actually stole that off of GTA San Andreas..
With that note you can find out which car on that game is my fav :P

hehe - I think my rusty-and-peeling example is a much better candidate for sanding up and painting. Too bad most guys don't want the center license plate mount, otherwise I'd suggest trying to set up a swap with someone who wants to paint a slotted bumper.
