What would be the best way to recondition your rear wheel wells. I am guessing sand blasting the hell out of them then some under coating?

Be careful with sandblasting if you don't like panel distortion and/or blasting stuff you don't want blasted. If you don't mind chemicals, you might grab a can of paint stripper and give that a go (it's not that dangerous if you're careful). The Eastwood Company has a fantzy undercoating system for wheelwells, but I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives available in rattlecans from sources like Dupli-Color. Or you could be super cheap and do like me - my wheelwells have countless coats of cheap-ish black spraypaint (like Krylon Rust Tough) that keep things looking good for a while.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

Just use like a clean and strip. It will take awhile with that but it will do a great job. Then yeah just get some undercoating in a can. It will have more cushion against rocks then paint.2000 Mustang GT "Blondie", 2000 CVPI "Sargent Crusty"

I used Dupli color truck liner/ wheel house liner. Great stuff. If your surface isn't clean it will peel off though. I got mine super clean (didn't have to strip) and shot on a thick layer. Still looking good with no wear. Great stuff. You can't paint it too (comes black), if thats your thing.
If you want more high tech, try rocker shutz from 3M. A fabulous product. You need to buy a special gun though, and you need access to a compressor, etc. You can adjust the texture by thinning it more/ less. Not too much money, and probably more reliable than the spray bomb stuff. I think you also have to paint it, I know I always have.**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser

For the plastic stuff on the front, I'd say any good degreaser like purple power or simple green and a medium brush. A powerwasher would help to if you can get to one. I've used undercoating on the front, Transtar and the 3m, and they both peeled off the plastic after a few years. Some people brush on silicone on the plastic to detail, but make sure not to get any on the tired tread. The back I'd say clean like the front, and if there's rust, POR-15 and then undercoat on top of that.sigpic
