    Looking for a painter.

I work at a ford dealership but im having abig problem... they are asking FAR to much to just spray my car.
I asked them what it would cost to just spray it if i did all the sanding guide coats and all that and they quoted me 1300 bucks even with my own paint.

Im looking for someone who will do it for about 300-500 bucks. Ill provide everything you need i just need to have it sprayed.

    Any information let me know.

If you were closer and when I am done with the wagon I could shoot it for you. I doubt you want to drive to nebraska, the cost of gas alone is not worth the expense.

1300 is way out of line if you are only having them spray it. If you supply the paint and all, they just need the eequipment. My Dad had a huge Buick sprayed (we did all prep etc) for $200. He paid $3000 to have his P71 painted. That included installation of a roof panel, the entire bodywork, all prep work, door jambs, all the paint and materials, painting it in a booth (mandatory). the car had been clipped, so there was alot of wleds to be dressed etc. lots of work for only $3000. Just spraying for $1300 is outraegeous. Probably so much because if you're not happy they may have to do it again and supply some shit.

Where did you have them spray it for $200? I'd love to give them my business if the paintjob came out looking good and they do two-tone paintjobs.

It was actully painted in the same shop that mine was painted in, but by a different guy. He is good friends with my dad. He didn't want to do it because he was afraid his painting skills had backslidden (he was mainly doing frame work and hadn't painted in a spell). he was just as good as ever. Haven't been to that shop in a while. Mine was sprayed for $100 (I think). The guy who painted mine is in rehab. Not sure if the painter of the Buick is still around.
