Are you going to paint it a slightly different shade for the faux look, or trim it somehow?

Yea that's my dad. He was goofin around.

I'm gonna paint it the same color as the rest of the car, Dan. I might put the chrome pieces back around the bottom of the c-pillar, I dunno. The upper trim pieces are going away tho. Rain gutters an shit are going back on for sure. I might paint them tho.

Nice job. I hope mine comes off as easily as you seem to make it look to be. Oh and the first pic in the second row (the one that looks through your rear window) is wicked; like that skull in the dash. I don't know what you have planned for paint (rattle can or something a bit more involved) so I'll add my . In the recent Eastwood catalog there is a flat black paint kit (paint and activator) for $95 (part # 21857). That's if you're interested. That car is lookin' mean anyways.

I do wanna paint it right, Packman. The paint it has now was a rattlecan job...a cheap and quick one at that. I'll retain that for awhile until I can afford the next step up...heh.

                        LoL @ Thain...

I am pretty much in the same boat as you, except that I despise body work (even washing and [ad nauseum] waxing really annoy me) because my hands aren't that good and my patience is very low when it comes to that stuff. When I get a decent paying job, I plan on saving up for a decent paint job for my ma's CV. I will rip off the vinyl myself and do whatever I can do to decrease the amount of labor needed to have the car painted. I'd even be tepmted to take on the painting myself if it were legal here.
After paint I will build a good engine, though I am entertaining the idea of doing the engine first.

It's not legal to paint it yourself? Whaa?
