    "Post-Paint" sheet under trunk carpet

While searching for an ants nest (dont ask!) i came accross this under the trunk carpet... sadly its condition isnt great but i was wondering what the deal was with this and what it exactly is?

And ive checked under the rear seat for the build sheet and its not there..

But i did find 50 pence! (about $1 for our US Friends! )

You may be suprised, several places i've found buildsheets:

    Wedged above the gastank
    Under the hood insulation

You might find one inside the front seat backs, too.

I've seen mine in the front seat backs and between the coils, foam under the front seats, and I think under the carpet.

            the hunt continues i guess....

if they have missed the post paint sheet in such an obvious place then theres a good chance the build sheet still exists somewhere on this car then! lol

I found one under the carpet in my '89, on the passenger rear floor. Of course, that's where a puddle of water was laying.

I found mine under the driver's side, seat bottom. Between the foam and springs. Other places I've seen them placed:

                Inside the passenger door panel
Underneath the back seat (seat bottom)
Behind the back seat (seat back)
Behind the passenger side kick panel
On top of the fuel tank
                Under the dash pad

                Could be anywhere!

oddly, I have found no such sheet on my car. I've had the trunk carpet out, all the seats, the interior carpet, hood pad, and the fuel tank. Not a sheet to be found. I guess its possible it was stuck into the original seat's springs, but I tossed them out long ago. Either that, or it was mixed into the junk that was under the seats and I tossed it out, assuming it was just some piece of trash. The car was pretty nasty when I got it.

I've heard of some cars that the owners never found a build sheet. Guess it's just hit or miss.

Mine was stuffed in between the foam and coils of the drivers seat. I've found them under the trunk mat and also under the back seat.

I found my buildsheet crammed in the dash after I took the dash pad off.
