    Wierd thing about wheels..

You know, it's strange...if your car is dirty but your wheels are clean, it makes the whole car look cleaner.
but on the other hand, if your car is clean, but the wheels are dirty, it looks like crap.
my dad's Mark V needs a car wash and on my break here this afternoon I put some tire shine on the wheels and used Quik Detailer on the hubcaps and I tell ya, makes it look a whole lot better.
I would have used Quik Detailer on the whole car, but since it needs a good waxing, 'cause I wiped down the trunk with QD and it was like wiping sandpaper it could use a claying and waxing...but I'll prolly just use the Meguiars 3 Step stuff...

        Like your wheels mang....

Do you know if 15x10's can fit on the rear of a panther??

I've been dreaming of 15x10's with 275/60/15's out back

and 15x8's with 235/70/15's in front

        probably won't work though..... whatchyouthink???

15x8 front and 15x10 rear should work. Of the tire sizes you listed, are they both the same height? I realize the rears will be wider, but what about sidewall height? I think you should go for even heights, maybe taller in the rear. Lower profile tires in the rear would just look goofy IMO.

sounds like an ok combonation to me.
but I'm going for 245/60/15s all around...I'm told they will really grip the road well.
but for the winter and hwy driving, I'll be using those tires Ivan gave me...235/75/15s

Well a 60% aspect ratio on a 275mm wide tire should be close to or larger than a 70% aspect ration on a 235mm tire, so It should work. But maybe I should go with a 245/60/15 in front to be safe

                a 275 is kinda narrow for a 10" wide wheel. Go with a 325/50 R15, 28" tall, 13.5" wide, just need a 15x10 wheel with 4" of b.s.

275-60's fit fint on a 8" wheel...just make sure your rear springs are good. If the rear end has too much give to it the lip of the rear fenderwell will hit the tires on bumps

That sounds good, but what street tires can be had in that size? A quick search at the Tire Rack turned up only BFG Drag Radials, much as I expected.

Thats a 13.5" wide 28" tall tire, which is big, so oyu can fit a large number of sizes under it.
well, you could even go with a 315/30R18. if you look for a tire over a 295 section width you are gonna get into either ultra high performance tires, or drag radials.

If you stay 15" you are not going to find many performance tires in the sizes that go with our car. Having such a large sidewall takes away from all the performance.

16" is still kind of sparse on performance selection in our sizes. 17" is where your options are all at. You can get pretty much any level and many different brands of performance and competition tires for our cars.

I'll say. I'm still annoyed with BFG for discontinuing their 295/50/16 Radial T/A. I'd wanted someday to try 265/50/16 front and 295/50/16 rear.
