I can't wait until spring break it is supposed to be in the fucking 60s I can finally wash and wax my car again. w00!

What type(s) of waxes do you use? I use Zymol, it works very well and stays on forever. I am going to need a good vinyl cleaner/polish.

I've never has a car with good enough paint to wax. My old Vic's paint was faded, cracking in some spots, and had some white paint from another car. Zack seems to know his stuff about detailing, he'll hook you up.

I plan to use some zipwax type stuff on the sides of the 91 maybe some oxidation remover to see what i can do with the hood and roof

My car looks no better if I wax it, so I don't bother. the truck gets waxed like once a year maybe because I'm lazy and hate actually doing it. I usually use Mother's though.

I use Meguiars NXT wax. Easy on and easy off. It holds up great. If I had money for it I would get Zaino cause that is suppose to be some good stuff.

If you need something that lasts a long time, look into a synthetic polish like Zaino Z-5 pro or Klasse All-In-One and the Glaze. These last for months on even a single application.

Both Zaino, and even more so the Klasse systems are more cost effective than most other products as you use much less. Though the initial/upfront cost seems high compared to most, the actual cost per vehicle is less when compared to using professional-level detailing products (ie Meguiar's Mirror Glaze) After I thought about it, it actually cost me less to do a full, over-the-top Zaino treatment to our Navigator than to do a buff, polish and wax with Meguair's Mirror Glaze. This is because you use much less product with Zaino than most other treatments.
Klasse All-In-One and the matching Sealant/Glaze is an acrylic polish Embassy lead me onto. It is an amazing product and is CHEAP. You do not use a lot, and it has literally hundreads of applications other than automobile finishes. Like Zaino, sparingly is the key. A little goes a long way, and it still offers excellent, long-lasting paint protection with deep gloss and shine.

I'm not going to say I think either of these products outshine a carnuba, I like the warm shine they provide - I just don't like the short life and inferior protection when compared. Because of which, I now use carnuba waxes overtop synthetics - kinda the best of both worlds.

I just wanted to add,Turtle Wax Chrome Polish=Teh Win! I just finished using it to clean all the oxidation off my chrome trim,and man what a difference!She Shines Now,Definatly Recommended if you like Chrome.

I've had good luck with Meguiars Gold Class.
great shine and lasts well.
I gave my Merc the 3-step process in th efall before winter and it's stil beading and shining now!
I tried Turtle Wax Platinum...great shine, but did nto last in the winter, only lasted about 1 1/2 months.
