Pretty sure your wagon already has 79-87 bumpers. Or are you talking about a different car?

real easy once you change the header, and front and rear bumper trim along with it. Hhhmm, doesn't the hood have to change also, to match the header.?

you really only can change the front since the rears are pretty much all the same, but changeing them is no biggie.

The rears are not all the same. Later year models had bumpers that tucked into the body, both front and rear.

Both require header and tail panel swaps at the same time. Tail panel swaps also call for trunk swap. If you had a GM you wouldn't need to change the hood, but you have a CV wagon, so you will also have to change the hood.

          Correct anything I have wrong.

looks like wagon rear ends are the same. So, just a nose job.
Hell, he's replacing fenders and doors already. Hood and header wouldn't be that much more.

Man, you have an '83, wagon or no wagon the front is all the same. Are you sure you don't actually wanna convert your current style to the '88-'91? I don't think that'd look good with the wagon rear end, bumpers won't match at all. Other than that I think Blaze is right, for Grand Marquis and Town Cars you only swap header panels and bumpers, the Crown Vic is the one that requires a hood swap too.

You could swap the front bumper, header, and hood over if you wanted, and you'd be just like the old school. But IMHO I would just leave it alone. You already killed one car, don't kill a second. It's a sweet looking car. Get some wheels for it, and nice rwl tires, and leave the outside alone. Dunno about the 190k on original engine and tranny, but at least the car looks good. Nice job.

Ooh, ooh, that white Squire is serious drool material! Looks like my Merc did stock, only better. Also a little like the '89 Marquis I tried to get my wife to buy before were were engaged (claimed she couldn't reach the pedals or see over the dash, and bought a Cavalier).

I'm pretty sure wagons all used the same rear bumpers, but I considered for a while installing a '88-'91 sedan rear bumper. Seems it would give the big wagons a nice streamlined look out back - that is, if it's wide enough, which I'm not sure it is because the wagon quarters seem to flare out a bit behind the rear passenger doors. But I found a good wagon rear bumper, so that made up my mind for me.

Just wanna make sure I am clear on something. If I had a 91 GM sedan, and wanted to swap the header panel, lights, bumper, grill, etc... All I have to do is remove everything front of the hood edge, and replace with those from a 79-87 GM? Cuz That One Girl and I just grabbed the whole front end off of a nice 86 at the yard, and she wants me to port it over. Did I get in a bit deep here? Or should it be as straightforward as it looks.
