Turbines need special lug nuts

the nuts for my steel wheels dont leave anything to grip on, and no not even a thin walled socket gets in there!!!
I found this Dorman set for $25 next to the blue ricer nuts. Im supposed to be done spending money on this thing!!!

Those are the same lugnuts I bought for GL's turbines

I found that out when one of my wheels came off due to the fact I couldn't get a grip on the lugnuts. Needless to say, its kind of interesting having a wheel come off the car. I have a flat spot on the bottom on one of the drums amd a new stud from that.

Not all turbines are the same tho....some the nut goes in like that and some they don't go in as far.

true, the newer turbines are a little different in other ways too...

My turbines use the standard short nuts, same as the steelies.

Yer nuts ain't right, serious - the ones I have on my car have a lip on the cone side of them, makes them much wider so there's more surface for the wheel to clamp on. They work fine for both the turbines and the steelies too.
