Turning onto a side street my back end kicked out and I hit a street sign that was obviously cemented into the ground.

I barely felt anything so I thought eh, I probably knocked that thing over. I got out and HOLY CRAP.

It's a wide dent, so beat the everliving crap outta it from the inside (use a piece of 2x4 wood), then sand the paint and repaint it - that'll get you going and not looking bad at all. I fixed a bent hood this way, it ain't too pretty but it'll pass the 20ft inspection, especially in winter.

Oh yeah, and next time throw some sand in that trunk, even tho I have offroad tires I still haul near 250lbs of ballast around.

I don't know of anywhere you can get a new quarter panel anyway, you'd have to cut one out of a junk car.

Cutting one is probably your best bet. I wish I had the money, a few months ago someone was selling practically a complete NOS body for a Vic, including the 1/4 panels.
