Well, then go to Chicago, it's also at McCormick Place Jan 26-28

They couldn't really get you for black. It's a factory color. What are they going to do, ban all sales and ownership of CV's that are painted black.? Not going to happen. Your bumpers are already that color. Saves you from having to paint them.

Poppers are easy, but time consuming. Needs a welder though. Remove handle hardware, weld a patch over the indentation, smoooooth it out, mount your solenoid in the door. Piece of cake.
I'm paranoid about them. You leave your lights on, battery goes dead, you can't get into car. Been there, done that. Besides, then you'd have nothing to pull on when the door freezes shut from the damn freezing rain. Stupid weather. Somebody needs to introduce legislation to ban stupid weather.!

I used to live in Kentucky CVPI, and I've seen alot of those brown-and-tan Indiana sheriff cars. KY has them too. Personally, I've always been a fan of the color scheme. Too bad they won't just let you keep it that way. I have seen some Dodge Chargers in a Cobalt Blue color and it looks WICKED, especially with chrome wheels, but would good with black/chrome too. It's like a cross between blue and grey, but all dark and mysticly and whatnot.

Cover it in black fur, like the wooly mammoth on pinks, or the bikes the starboyz ride. Haha, seriously, i think the color is called camango, its like a copper colored metallic, looks amazing. I see lots of undercover cop cars in dark blues and reds here, the dark red with the black brush gaurd, tint, and fogged out lighting looks amazing. Or just paint it all flat camo green, that would be cool and it would be a first.

            Paint codes?

Ever consider looking at some Mustang paint codes? Keep the Ford paint code scheme going with it?

Some Mustang paint codes I believe look amazing on Crown Vics...

BTW - Enigma - You familiar with shaving door handles off? I wanna get some door poppers since I'm already doing some body work and repainting the damn thing.

What the hell? When I lived down in west-central Indiana I used to see more than one civilian-owned ex-Sherriff's car driving around with its brown-and-tan paint still on it. Knew of a couple blue-and-white cars, too. What town do you live in? Maybe the goons in your part of the state are just supremely anal like that ............

And if they don't like black, the good cops in Porter County had better start ticketing our pal torquelover for his black car ...........

when people buy ex-cop cars here, they are not required to be repainted.

I say tape up some 10" wide or better RACING STRIPES and then paint the car black. Take the tape off and enjoy your black and gold Crown Vic! Don't forget the roof, that's a pet peeve of mine, racing stripes on the hood and trunk, but none on the fucking roof?! Major FAIL.

Medium Shadow Blue (3R) is a color I'll always love, and they used it on Mustangs to.

when we first got Ruby and she still held a shine good, i think she had about the best color i have ever seen.
2G medium cabernet metallic. i think they called it a different name in the 70's.

Beautiful color! of course the hood, roof, and trunk have faded over the years but i will not repaint till i can have it done right with the same color.

So long as you as you know the color code, they can mix it up for you at the auto body supply store. Most have the Dupont or PPG book with the chips handy.
