If i wanted the car to look half way decent so naturaly i said no. So heres the new plan get new hood fenders and doors from a crown vic (they should fit right)b/c most of the estimate was from the wholes in side mt doors from the wood trim

wats the difference in doors? Well as the maaco guy puts it that the door needss to be stripped down to metal and than wholes for modeling puddy or welded

I thank you for your opion but I like the car I have and in the long run i might just do the boddy work my self on these doors except hood b/c well my brother jumped onit and screwed the hell out of it but also my rear quaters is on from umper line down I realy dont need the whole panel just a little cause of rust and I just got one of my friends to help me with body work

I know what ur going through mang, my car is pretty rusty too but I cant bring myself to scrap it. What I'm gonna do is do all the rust repair myself. I have rust free doors, and a fender. All I need it some rockers cut off another car and a fender and a trunk lid. This also gives me freedom to do some other bady mods to the car. I'm gettin rid of the coach roof and I might try door poppers and shave the handles cause it isnt too expensive for the kit.

$3200 from a shop like MAACO? If I was gonna spend that amount of coin I'd take it to a reputable shop unlike maaco or earl sheib. You really do get what you pay for in the realm of bodywork and paint.

invest in a mig welder an air compressor and a sander, do all the prep work yourself......theres books that show you how to do it yourself........then off to maaco for the 300 dollar scuff and shoot

If they do the prep work, and it's not in terrible shape, a GOOD shop will still charge an arm and a leg.
