Late 80's Taillights on a 91 MGM

I been toyin with the idea of trying the chrome ribbed tail-lights on ThatOneGirl's 91 GM. Did they change much between the two? Not really worth it if it'll take too much fabb'in.

You will need a new truck lid. I personally think the 88-91 tails look so much better then 79-87 ones.

Hey, I want the newer tails on my car - want to trade? Trunk lid is the same but the trim is different, the older is more square but I think it bolts on.

The trunk lid is the same? Damn it looks way more boxy compaired to the 88-91.

trunk lids are the same i think but the corner pieces that go above the lights are different. the bolt pattern of the tails is close but the holes for the lights are off. i had to do some cutting to get the 91 tails to work on my 86 but its doable
