Good Polish for Plastic Chrome Grills

I just got my 79 LTD grill the other day,God I Love the look of this grill. Anyway,it's a little oxidized so I was about to polish it up with the Turtle Wax Chrome Polish I have, when I read on the back that you should never use it on Plastic Metalized grills.Knowing the extent to which plastic can react with chemicals,I did'nt wanna take the chance. But it stills really needs to be polished to look it's best with the 26yr old chrome.

My question: Does anyone know of a good Chrome Polish that is safe to use on Plastic Chrome Grills, and will shine them up without damaging the chrome or plastic in any way?

novus plastic polish is kick ass on clear plastics, not sure how it will work on chromed plastic, but im sure it wont hurt it.

Even though it's plastic it is real chrome. So a metal pollish is what you should use. However, I have come to find that there is a lot of pitting in these crome parts, and no pollishing will get rid of that.

Black Magic - Detail Shine <-- this stuff is the shit!! Use it on everything! It works esspecialy well on Chrome, clear plastics, smooth plastics, and cleans and treats rubber. It does wonders for the longevity of my wax jobs as well. Put a coat of that stuff on after a wax job and it will look like you just waxed it for months.

Thx Guys, maybe the turtle wax polish will be safe to use.If you guys have tryed it with no bad effects,I'm willing to give it a try.The 79 grill does have some hairline cracks in the chrome which I thought the polish might get into and screw up the plastic somehow or make the chrome peel.I'll test it out first on my old 87 grill just to be sure.

Well, I bet it wouldn't work well on flat black paint. :p
