Hey! My Crown Vic's paint job is pearl!
Well the below picture is somewhat dark. When I get it out from under the trees it looks absolutely gorgeous, Unfortunately I need to repaint the whole car :*(

Well, I don't know of any dealers that do body work. So the dealer didn't screw anything up. Which ever body shop they use screwed it up. The shop my father works at uses the best body shop in town.

One of my mechanics specializes in painting cars. It's more of a side job though. I've seen the work he did on someones '69 Camaro, and it was top notch. So I think I'm going to save my pennies and spring for a pearl paint job on the Merk. I'm going to ditch the two-tone, and maybe the coach roof as well.

Actually I do remember in the 90's that Ford did have a color called "Sunrise Red"
that was red in daylight, but as you got closer, the paint that the sun was reflecting off of, would turn a purplish tint, like a flip-flop. I know for a fact that the Aerostar / Windstars, Escorts, and T-Birds had the same paint, as I was looking into doing a waghon I had that color.

I just do not know what the code was sadly.

                bows,
