did ford make a pearl paint?

right now i've got a white 84 crown vic four door with the white vynal half top. and i wanting to get a paint job on it anyhow, when sitting in traffic i saw a caddy escalade with this georgous pearl paint!!! it got my wheels turning an i thought of it on my car and i just started to drool .i want to start restoring this car but i could handle fudging for the pearl paint but if ford made a pearl paint especially around the mid 80's i could sleep better at knight.

I have seen some newer mustangs with a pearl paint on it but it could have been a dealer thing I'm not sure.

naw, this was my grandma's car before she passed if i'm going to repaint it it's going to be done right regardless the cost. and i figured it would make this car really sexy since the white already makes this car look great.

The dealer will tell you to bend over when you tell them pearl paint. I would rather find where all the local muscle car guys get there cars painted

I wouldn't take it to the dealer. They do shitty work, at least my dealer. There a couple of things that we had painted at the dealer for my moms focus. Her hood had RUNS in it and the rear bumper we had painted is now flaking off 3 years later. I would go to a custom car shop that is where the real painters are.
