    trunk adjustments needed....

i was wondering if anybody knew if there was a way to adjust the trunk lid on a box CV? it shuts fine but it just doesnt seal right along the sides and by the rear window. i was wondering if there was a way to adjust it to shut tighter or if all i need is a new seal?

You can adjust is using the plastic knobs on each corner of the trunk lid. The screw out/in. You should adjust it to line up with the rear quarter panels of course. If it isn't sealing, then yes you may need new seals. You can also move the metal latch up and down by loosening the bolts holding it on, moving it, tightening it, etc. Move it down too far, and your trunk won't latch. Hope this helps. I've been trying to figure out left/right myself...

^^ what he said. You can try and soften the seal up a little by rubbing vaseline into it and leaving the trunk open a while, but if the seal is dead its dead.

i pulled the lip of the seal up on the mounting lip. it still has a gap like it isnt tall enough, it is barely on the lip right now and barely/ doesnt make contact in some spots. i am gonna see what i can do abouth getting an aftermarket strip since Ford OEM costs $122.78 here
