my turn signal lever has now arrived - its the older one, for the stalk horn button, and the switch end is definitly different...
I became curious thinking if I could use an older turn switch to match the lever, a napa part search turned up some part number overlap from 83 to 87.
Then a quick review of my 85 EVTM showed the presence of a horn switch inside my turn signal switch.
This could well mean that not only might the lever fit (without loose slack), but may actually give the supposed existing horn switch some function. I would have to add some pigtails to the switch connector, but i guess I can run to the junkyard for some of those.
Now all I need as a diagram of the switch for a stalk horn button application....
