I have a theory that cars begin to expect something to be broken. For many years whenever I fixed something on my Towncar, a completely unrelated thing would act up. The current semi-broken thing for the last 4 years or so has been an intermittent rear passenger window motor. I don't care to fix it because its not really a problem. My luck I'd fix that and then something that is truly annoying would fail. I just don't use that window.
