The radios are pretty much the same, I don't see why it wouldn't work on a car earlier than '86. The only exception is the oddball radio that has scan, and a mess of wires...

Doesn't work on my car. Common ground system + lame premium sound with amp in the trunk. I had to string all new wires through the car to make it work.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I ran all new wire for my new system, too. That was just for 6 1/2" in the doors and 6x9s in back. Nothing special.Comment
