amp bypass wiring harness?

Hi!

Back to wrapping up my audio system upgrade, after fun with the starter motor, bleeding brakes, and valve cover gaskets.

Stores all told me they'd have to custom order the amp bypass harness, and that it would be $30!

Someone who already owns a 1990-vintage grand marquis and who has put in their own amplifier, do you mind telling me which color wires match up (since they're not at all the same colors), and I'll solder up my own harness?

If you are installing an amp, you definitely want to run your own speaker wires anyway.

I'm not sending much power through them, and I'm too lazy to tear apart the trim again

It should work, and should even make MORE sense than the bypass wiring harness that's $30: I've just soldered 8 of my own wires onto the outgoing harness from the old factory amp, and inserted my own in its place.
