thanks for the pics and info guys. oone of the speakers has the rubber thing on it and the other one doesn't because i could not get the rubber swing off. i fixed my problem with the bolts not lining up. i hopped in teh isuzu and went down to my friendly hardware store and got bolts that were smaller in girth but longer, and corresponding nuts and washers. makes life alot easier, lol. the hardest part still was threading the nut on while holding da speaker while trying not to totally discontort my fat ass in the trunk. and they sound awesome. better than the old kickers did(paper coned) its a pioneer deck and the max volume is 30. before with the kickers, max volume before it starts belching was about 22-23. with these roadmasters max before belching is about 17 deopending on the song, lol. but even tho the readout says 17, it is louder and clearer sounding
Thats because your new speakers are way better. The RMS output of your stereo is about 60% of your max. So it makes sense that the new realistic max is about 17. My stereo max is 50, and once I got the set I have now, I went from 35 to 25 as the actual max. Then got a 600watt AMP, and I'd say it would be about 70 on the sereo now.
