I don’t know why anyone would buy this radio. The only differences between it and the Alpine 7870 are an additional stereo pair of RCA outputs (so you can hook it up to two, instead of just one, external amplifier) and 22W vs. 20W RMS power. This corresponds to a 0.4dB increase in volume, which no one could possibly detect.

Now how to take the thing out. What do I need to buy to make my own or should I buy the adapter?

I know Stripping an RCA wire is weird. With the outer and inner wires. I'm not sure how to connect it to the headphone jack if needed.

Well the title doesn't specifically say "how" cock sucker. On that note, I just bought a little FM transmitter for my MP3 Player that you plug into your MP3 Player, set the device to an FM station and set your radio to that same station and listen to your mp3's through your radio. Obviously not the wired version but it works good.

why do you need to strip an RCA cable ???

an FM transimitter is the only way, unless the deck has an auxilliary input.

There is a $7 Sosche FM modulator at walmart. Sounds like it has something to do with frequency, but I want better qualitly. It shows how you can hook up anything you like.

Most custom installers would use a receiver with rear inputs. They arent much more $$ than normanl units.

if you have a receiver (home or car) with RCA inputs, then you can buy a cable with RCAs on one end and a 1/8 "headphone" jack on the other end.
Thats how I hook my computer into my home stereo - its pretty common.

They were put in the wrong spot(not marked wrong), when I was there I was just browsing. I went to day and bought it for $25. Very simple, I just hope I get a good signal. I'll throw it in when I get time.

This is what you are looking for. This should be the exact item you are looking for. It connects to a port that is normaly used to hook up a remote CD changer, and it converts it to an aux. input. With no loss of signal quality.

if i rember corectly the alpine cde-7872 is not equipt with cd changer input. so your only option would be the fm modulator or a better deck
