how do indash tvs work can I make one out of a normal lcd for a car

So I m looking to take a lcd monitor 7inch or 8 inch and put it on brackets so it can roll out of my dash and than i can flip it out anyone got any ideas on how to do that any brackets I can use. I dont mind having to pull it out by hand but what brackets can I use. I was thinking slider drawer brackets but there so big! do they make them smaller?

I dunno that much about A/V stuff...
If you can be sure that whatever monitor your thinking about can process you video source it will work. You just have to give it a power source and it should be good to go.
I bet you could find some small drawer roller tracks and some swiveling dealies to accomplish your plans.

i know a few guys who were techies and did this, and its way nicer

its something i would do instead.
