Battered Condenser

Last major thing on my list on getting my car trip worthy this summer:
Get the AC fixed. It was recently replaced a year or so ago, and is in good shape, except for the condenser. Very messed up by stones and road debris hitting it. So, if I replaced it, I suspect the AC leak problem would be solved, wouldn't it?
You can see how damaged it is.
My question though, is what is the part description for the plastic shielding that covers the bottom of the condenser and protects it against road debris? The top part of the gray shielding is still there on the left of the condenser, but it's been ripped or broken off.

What, the condenser or the shielding? Shroud, stone guard, whatever it's called... I have been trying to find one but not successful, yet...

Buy some aluminum sheetmetal and cut yourself whatever shape and size you like man, that's what I'll be doing to mine some time soon.

there was no covering to protect the condensor.......you could fab up some window screening to keeprocks from hitting it.........most of the time the leaks are going to be the o-rings on the lines or the fittings on the ac hoses......i could visually see a leak after i charged upnatehawks ac........we are going to replace all the ac hoses (about $120 for the 3 hoses) also you will sometimes get a leak at the ac compressor seal.....easy way to tell that is if you have a oily ac clutch

Trying to figure out what WAS there... there's broken off plastic rivets along the bottom, that used to hold some kind of plastic barrier, but I have no idea if it was completely solid, or had openings anywhere...
Otherwise I was thinking of a piece of 1/8" mesh hardware cloth along the bottom of the opening that I could ziptie to the holes on the header panel/radiator support parts.
I'll try to cook something up. Thanks for the info! I couldn't find that out anywhere else.

Town Cars had a pair of splash shields under the quarter panels in front of the rear wheels, but they did not cover the whole underside of the car, I think your car may have had something similar to that.

those pieces were actually made to route things (ideally just air) up into the condensor and radiator!!!

yeah, you plastic flap thing under the radiator....
I just dont remeber seeing one on anyone elses. I know I dont!

Are you talking about his wind deflector that attaches to the bumper? I have one of these too, just not as big as his, which is actually pretty huge.
