Well, then instal yourself a backup alarm! I just got mine done, it's a pretty easy and straight forward install - find a plave for the screamer, tap into the power line for the backup lights, run a ground, and you're good to go. Here are some pics:

Alarm itself cost like $15 and is supposedly designed to withstand truck abuse, will see how long it's gonna work.

lol - I put one on my 77. me and my buddy were hard up to find new electronic gadgets to install from autozone... we said "OOoooo backup beeper!"

I had a million beehive lights on that car, I learned a lot on it. Im really suprized it didnt catch on fire.
