Trying a little something special with the taillights

I picked up a couple 12" LED strips from PantherLights to experiment with some customization on my '79 Marquis' taillights. Did some mock ups with tape, see how it all works out.

Here's the first setup.

The box Mercury tails were always my favorite. Even more so with the cool things you could do with the LEDs we have now.

I've been toying with a bunch of different ideas, but I think I have a full plan now. Going to need a lot more LED strips of varying lengths.

I picked up some more LED strips, sheet metal, and flat iron. Hoping to have enough time to mock up part of the long term design this weekend.
