I like this brand. Standard/SMP (not their low end ("C" or "T")series, can't remember which.

This is such a simple device that I really wouldn't fuss too much about the brand. I might, on the other hand, favour a new-old-stock example over a new one.
If you notice, Standard specified in their application data to RockAuto that their NS54 crosses to SW1391, SW2276. Those are Motorcraft numbers. There are a bunch of both of those numbers on eBay now, some look rather old.
Generally the only way I'll outright recommend a Motorcraft part is when you can get one that's practically antique. This might be one of those times where it's possible and fruitful.
Otherwise, I would go for the cheapest new option available, which may be a Standard T-series or a Wells example (haven't looked around at what's out there for this part).Last edited by kishy; 08-03-2018, 04:20 PM.Comment
