84 Country Squire can't pull codes

Need some help, folks. Been trying to read the codes from my box but it simply refuses to display them.

Car is a 1984 Country Squire 5.0 CFI k code.

I have tried this method. I have tried the check engine light blinking method. Tried to do Key On Engine Off and Key On Engine On, but still nothing. KOEO CEL just stays on along with battery light (normal). KOER light comes one initially (as always) and then turns off after a few seconds, no blinks.

Am I doing something wrong here?

The reason for reading codes is that I have a stumble/misfire under load after car gets up to operating temperature. When it's cold it drive perfectly fine, when it warms up it starts acting up.

The engine light on an '84 is for low oil pressure or high coolant temperature only. It is not tied to the diagnostic readout. Use a test light as shown in that image. When you start the test cycles, that will blink your codes for you.
