Don't run away from it! Stick with it and get that figured out, you'll be that much smarter in the future when it comes to finding & solving issues. I'm not really mechanically inclined but I'll be damned if I let a few electrical gremlins force me to get rid of a car. That car has had the HO swap too, so if it runs correctly thats all the more reason to keep it!
