    Blinking Exterior and Interior Lights

They both blink like a strobe when lit. All of the lights. I read in another thread that those are symptoms of a bad voltage regulator in the alternator. I am not an electrician, so I don't know where to start with the diagnostics. I have a 3G waiting for installation. If I install the 3G and the problem persists, will the 3G make it worse?

the 3G won't make it worse... but if it's the same, the 3G has the same problem. Do the swap... it'll probably fix the problem. AC current is coming into your system instead of DC. I'd not run that car until the 3G is swapped in just to help keep the magic smoke inside all of the electronics.

Damn!!! I wish Putter Project was running. I could give the Ranger to my mom. This has been a problem for a while. My mom doesn't do too much driving at night, so I am not too worried about that. I will wait until this Polar Vortex slides by to install the 3G. Thanks SLY

when i had this problem with my car, it started 2 days before the alternator harness melted down. Make sure yours isn't starting to fail. At a minimum, make sure the connections on the alternator are clean and in good shape.
