Do the eec IV 86+ panthers have a j port in the ecu? Reason is I bought a tweecer and want to play with LOPO to see how much power is possible to extract out of it with stock heads and cam. Later on maybe 427 stroker.

my 88's original ECM had the J port... it's blocked off by a panel, you have to open the case to get it off and then scrape the pins of the connector clean of the conformal coating so you can make good contact.

The J3 port is there. Depending on the case construction, there may be a black plug covering it. If not, you'll have to disassemble the case and cut it open. Regardless, you'll need to clean the J3 port. I recommend a scotch brite pad. Clean both sides very well.Comment
