AC O-Rings

    AC O-Rings

    Hi,

    I think my pressure switch sprang a leak. I will put some detector in and check it out. Since I am probably going to have to open the system I thought I would change the dryer and orifice tube while I am at it.

    What O-rings do I get? specific size, Is it something the counter man can look up?

    If you just need to change the pressure switch, there's a Schroeder valve under that so it doesn't open the system. FYI.

    new accumulators come with o-rings (the one I bought yesterday is proof, though I didn't need any of them since they are all only a couple of years old anyhow).

      Thanks for the tip on the pressure switch. Though if that is may leak point i should probably change the schrader while I am in there. The O-rings I was thinking of are the rings for the AC line connections to the evap and dryer. perhaps the dryer and accumulator include those also?

        The schrader valve is always open with the pressure switch installed, so it really doesn't matter if it leaks or not. The only time you'd ever know it had a problem is if you removed the switch. If you are opening the system, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the drier. Don't know what sizes they are. I always worked out of an assortment kit when fooling with that stuff.
