Here in Missouri, it is law that your headlights have to be on when your windshield wipers are in use.
The (admittedly small) issue is that because I have automatic headlights, I am afraid of manually turning on the headlights by hand because I'm afraid I'll forget to turn them back off, being that I normally never have to touch them otherwise.
To combat this, when it rains in daytime I have been just putting a piece of paper over the light sensor so the autolamps come on, and thus also turn themselves off when I park somewhere rather than me having to remember to turn them off after driving in the rain.
What would be better, I think, is to have the autolamps trigger when the wipers are switched on.
That way, they'd come on with the wipers and also go off with the wipers and/or when I stop the car. No dead batteries, no breaking the law.
SO, how does that light sensor work? Is there a way to bring 12v from the wiper wiring to the light sensor and have the autolamps come on without doing much more than taking some dash pieces off for access?
