First thing I did when I got my boat. Wasn't having any problems with starting or running but when it was loaded down with accessories it was putting out like 11.6.

$50 alternator and a few new battery cables and a megafuse and it charges like yours, 14.xx volts

Ya, everytime i run the parking lights and the rear defrost, it really pulls it down. I always planned on doing the elec fan and a sub in the trunk, but i didnt want to do it with an alt that wouldnt be up to task. Besides, the old alt was whinning like all get out. It sounded like a blower! It worked fine, it was just obnoxious as shit. The only hang up i had, was the belt was just a liiiiittttlllee too short. So i figured out that if i take out the pivot bolt and keep the top bolt loose, i could slide the alt over just enough to slip the belt on, then work the pivot bolt back in and tighten everything up. And thanks for all the info and wiring diagrams! I dont think i wouldve done it otherwise!
