Ok, I couldn't find anythign on here about this, but I am wondering if there is a cabin air filter for a 1986-87 ford/mercury crown vic/GM. I noticed when i put the fan on high, it doesn't seem to blow as hard as it should. So I suspect if the car had a cabin air filter...that it would be beyond dirty

No cabin filter in your car. It could be lots of things, dirty heater core/evaporator. Blend door problem, heater box seal to firewall.

also, the power going to the blower is generally lacking. This is why many of us have done relay mods to the blower. It helped in my 88 to the tune of about a 20% improvement going by the palm of the hand wind force gauge.
If you think there could be dust/dirt/hair/etc clogging up the works, pull out the blower motor from under the hood and you'
ll be able to tell. if there's a bunch of mess there, VERY carefully pull it off. Don't just wipe it all off as bending the fins may screw stuff up. You may also have to use some cleaner to really get stuff cleaned up in there, but I haven't seen any AC coil cleaner like the stuff my dad had 10 years ago in the past ... 10 years. Spray it on... let is set a minute... spray it off with water (from a light pressure source like another spray bottle). This will also let you know if the drain hole is clear and working right.

Dang, I was afraid of this. Isn't the blower motor in the bowels of the dash? I should just use the air compressor and blow into the vents, lol"To Find yourself, you must first lose yourself"

nah, under the hood. Its the only part of the HVAC system that is fairly simple to remove. Its far to the passenger side, and if you have a flexy joint the 4 screws are all accessible. A little wiggling and it pops out of the box.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
