      I've seen the lamps stay on in the visors even with the door shut. make sure the lights go out before the door actually shuts. If not... there's the problem. Same with the hood and trunk.

      yes, anything over a few hundred milliamps will drain out the battery pretty much. Typical should be less than 200mA draw IIRC... maybe even less than that. Definitely less than that on base models.

        yeah, it should be well under an amp, less than 0.2 amp actually sounds about right. Near 2 amp draw will kill it fairly efficiently in a couple hours.

          the draw should be 50 miliamps/.05 amps (hooray for still being in automotive school!)

              Read through the link in the first post, depending on your background in electrical this may be all you need.
