I had a feeling this wouldn't end well. A bit of patience, dexterity, needle nose, lots of more patience and a small wrench to undo any of the studs that are spinning. If its the bottom two, those are more bolt than nut (nut on one side, stud through the firewall and held captive by the plenum box with a bolt head).

I'll be picking up the CV today after work. I'll see what they did. Was supposed to pick the car up yesterday, but my doctor's appointment went a bit longer than expected. People, get your ears cleaned at least once a year; what they pulled out was not from this planet.

          ear candle FTW.
though it is a two person job doing an ear candle.

Yeah, it took the doctor and the assistant to clean just the one side. I have to go back and have the other side cleaned. It's weird having half good hearing. I'll probably end up complaining about the open cut-outs now too. LOL

ie: need a trusted person to administer it to you. It uses convection to ease the crap out of the ear. and yes, it does involve playing with fire.

The only person I would trust is my parents. My GF would probably burn me cause all of the times I ignored her yapping (clogged ear was a good excuse). My friends that i grew up with would use this as an opportunity for revenge for dying and toothpasting their hair when they were drunken sleeping.

All levity aside. My shift indicator isn't working. It was when I sent the CV to the shop. Where is the cable/wire that controls that? I imagine I have to drop the steering column; which I have to do anyways because the mechanic didn't put the bottom support dash nut back.

pull the column cover.......they didnt unhook it and probably broke the cable end mount off the steering column. either that or the mounting ring that snaps around the column broke.......you need a better mechanic........if stuff worked when it came here it works when it leaves, and the little bits for these cars are not getting any easier to find.
