but thats done at the VSS on the trans side, so i would think it would be close. i would question it, if the VSS was at the speedometer side. like the odometer lol

Speedo and trip shoud always read the same. They can be off a few blocks or so over a long run sometims closer than others. Both speedo and speed sensor are driven off the same driven gear in the tranny. Change gears or tire size in some way will through both off the same ammount. One thing that can change the calculated vs trip fuel economy reading is an ofset MAF that would allow use 25lbs injectors with a ECM programed for 19s as an example.

"if" you have modifications, like injectors and bigger/smaller tires. but, your talking about modified cars. my two cents is directed to the average, unmodded panther. also, you dont always have to expect worse than shown MPG. you could be lucky and have better than the shown MPG.

it should be pretty accurate then.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMM could be doc. Issue is that can through things off a bit not all 205s X whatever are created equal. One mfg might be taller than another. Goes with anysize tire even different styles of tire under the same name brand. Not saying your figures are not exact just mentioning anything that can through it off.

I think it's accurate. That was 100% highway. When I went on the streets it went down quite a bit haha. I enjoyed putting it on also. Next project is mustang HO headers off road h pipe and duels. So it will get a little more mileage out of her

Yes sir. I looked a long time ago but weren't our cars rates at like 24 or something highway mpg's. I don't expect that but 20 wouldn't be a bad current mpg. After all my car is 27 years old, it's got 39,000 miles, once spring is here i want to clean the egr. My car rarely will start on its own without me givin it a little gas

( also forgot to mention I did a full tune up 1000 miles ago. Motor craft plugs, msd cap, ford racing wires and a edelbrock chrome air cleaner)
