    Floor heat....

    Just did some troubleshooting in my service manual. Says that when you don't get heat from the floor selector in either auto or manual mode, it is likely the thermal blower lockout switch. Is this a common thing to replace in these cars? Never seen one in a GM, sorry.

    Yeah mine was bad on my 88 when i bought it pull the vacuum line off it and plug them and u can jump the plug with a 30amp fuse and youll have floor heat. I didnt replace mine cuz i couldnt find a new one anywhere.

      just jump the connection dont bother replacing the valve there cheap plastic and cost $35 and will just blow up on WOT.

        I jumped the connection and it came right on, but then, I hooked up the connector and tapped on the 'valve' and the blower came right on. Must be loose connection in there. Thanks for all the help guys. I may get another TBL switch later on. But i also like the jump with fuse idea.
