    rough idle

    ok well ever since ive gotten my car when u first start it up cold it will have a rough surging idle for say 30 secs. or so then it will be fine, if u rev it just slightly at all during this time it will go completely away and run fine. Also when started with the engine warm it will almost always stall the first time, then as soon as you start it again it will be fine. All of my vacuum lines are connected and all sensors are in place and plugged in, but ive notice the vac line to the MAP sensor looks pretty dry rotted and rough also dunno if its normal but it will not run at all with that line disconnected. If u disconnect the vac line to the MAP and try to start the car it will start and die immediately, also if u pull it off with the car running it will die immediately. So im just wondering if maybe its that line my MAP sensor or maybe both that are causing the prob if it could be ill just replace them both to be safe, also if not that what else could cause the surging idle or stalling after a warm start. Note rough sometimes cold sometimes warm but not always on either and stalling almost always on warm start but every once in a while on cold start, when it stalls its always within as second or two just like the motor idles too low then stalls.

      Replaced MAP sensor at lunch today all seems normal now will scan for codes at my next break and see if its clear now
