    bypass A/C relay

Is there any way to bypass the a/c relay on a 88 grand marquis, its been shot since I bought the car and I don't really feel like waiting till I can afford one as money is tight right now. I know I can put a jumper across but that doesn't allow the dash switch to function to cycle the compressor so I'm hoping there's a way to do this with the 4 wires coming into the relay connector

It will still cycle the compressor. It just won't turn off at WOT.

jumper the 2 wider blades that actually have wires going to them. Should be 3 on the relay, but only 2 are in use. And yeah, all that does is shut the compressor off when you floor the gas pedal.

hmm... I think my 88 is cutting the compressor at half WOT. is there a way to check to see where it's actually cutting out?

Yes. Put key in run. Put AC on. Clutch will engage. Open throttle. When the clutch disengages, that's when it kicks off.
