It would be easier to actually just mount the stock bulb somewhere and use it for the load.
Somewhere being the lamp housing and socket where it is supposed to be. Lamp or load resistor, both get hot enough to be a problem. And that, like adding load resistors defeats the purpose of switching to LED's.
indeed. I also don't happen to care for the way the lamps look with LEDs in a lot of cases. The reflectors just aren't designed with the light pattern that an LED has in mind.

Unfortunately I dont think this will happen. Pretty sure that I could splice the resistor wires (If I could get actual resistor wires from a mustang or capri) inside the car to minimize retarded amounts of extra wire...but I am just not sure about it....Thain says that actual resistors get HOT so experimenting with that is a no no inside the car...just not many options.
Just FYI, that modified drawing above with the headlight relays won't work. No connection should be between your two added wires where they connect to the headlight wiring.
What does the EVTM show as the location of C216? That would determine how much trouble getting the lamp out warning harness out will be.
Personally, I just use conviently placed store windows to check my lights. =-)

I see what you are saying. If the resistance wire is relocated after that relay in direct route to the headlight then it would work though correct? I found the modded schematic online...you know what they say about what you find online......
