after replacing the hoses & drier & vacuumn the system down do i have to add more mineral oil or does it stay in the low part of the system?? 89 grand marquis w/ r-12

yes. There is a chart in the service manual that says how much oil to add when each component is replaced.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
