89 grand marquis, the hose off the drier to the back of comp. seems to be leaking. out of r-12 & oil around this hose. the oem part# is FOAZ19D734D. it doesnt show any screw on connectors. any suggestions on how to take it off & install new on.. thanks

89 uses quick connects. You need the disconnect tool. Basically you slide it under the large ring where the hoses push together, then simply pull it apart. Lightly lube the O rings on the new hose with whatever sort of oil you are recharging the system with, and assemble. I'd strongly advise replacing the O rings at all of the connections, the drier, and possibly the orifice tube. If you are staying with R12, you need mineral oil. If you're doing R134, ester oil is the stuff. Ideally you want to flush the old mineral oil out if you are converting.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
