    what is this wire for? ('85 CP)

    this car sat for quite a while before i picked it up... thinking a rodent must've got in the engine compartment. so far i've only seen 2 nearly-broken wires-- one was for the power antenna, and then this one (in a cluster near the rear of the engine, driver-side):

    anyone? i'll cut it and re-attach, but just wondering what it is for.

    Looks like something for the CFI unit. Or it may be emissions, since that is with the EGR and thermactor solenoids.

      That's the vacuum solenoid for the coke pull-off and VOTM (idle control)... you want that working.

        yeh, high idle stepper thing. CFI doesn't work too well in the cold without that.
