throttle cable is not that bad either way really. I just goes right through the firewall from the pedal. With the dash OUT, it would be easier to get at body position wise... but other than that... meh. Unless you're having sticky cable issues... a little lube every decade is probably fine

I was going to say, why would you want to replace your throttle cable unless it's FUBAR or you had an overwhelming urge to swap to a Lokar style?

What do you lube a throttle cable with? white lith?

Doubt you can get spray grease very far inside the cable housing ... I've reverted to squirting a bit of WD40 or a dab of 10W30 on that sort of thing. I think I just used WD40 to loosen up the sticky throttle cable on my '81.
